The PADI Junior Divemaster course is a subset of the PADI Divemaster course. The course is designed to engage and motivate interested young people, 15-17 years of age, until they are old enough to become PADI Divemasters. PADI Junior Divemaster candidates complete portions of the Divemaster course with some modifications to performance requirements. Certified Junior Divemasters are not PADI Members, and may not act as certified assistants or supervise divers. However, they can assist PADI Professionals specifically as described in Junior Divemaster Activities.
Diver Prerequisites:
• Be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver
• 15 years old
• 20 logged scuba dives
